Project overview
The project comprises a residential house in Barendrecht featuring filigree slab (lattice girder slab) floor systems.

Unlike conventional one-way spanning floor systems, the floors were designed to transfer loads in two directions to the surrounding supports, resulting in four-way slab action. The structural behaviour of the floor systems was analysed using the finite element method (FEM) in RFEM 6.

The engineering scope covered the complete development of the filigree slab floors, from structural analysis and design through to reinforcement detailing and production information.
